Build a pipeline of opportunity

Those of us who grew up without the internet can find it 'braggy' or 'cringe' in our kids' words, to talk about ourselves online.

We were raised by Boomers, many of whom stayed in one job for 30 years.

They were raised by the Silent Generation, who literally never talked about themselves. (I think if you really knew your Grandma or Grandpa as a person, you were lucky).

But times have changed.

Your real-life network matters, but so does your network online.

I know you don't have time. But the day you wake up and think: I need a new job, I need more clients, or the day you're laid off with no warning, it will make a 10x difference to your career if your unique strengths have been visible, online, before that day.

And now with the advent of AI, just like when we retrained ourselves when the internet became widely available, we must change. We must get with the times.

It's a fact now that people who share about their experiences, their work, their passions, their careers and how they built them and how they overcome hurdles and manage and lead, will get the lion's share of opportunities.

This is the new normal.

(I know we hate that phrase.)

So what I'm saying is, I really see this as my new calling. To help others be more visible. To amplify voices (cough, cough).

And I want to help YOU show up. I'm open to helping anyone, and I particularly love helping women show up because we haven't for so long.

Did you know that only 0.5% of recorded history is from a woman's point of view?

And what's wild is that - to change that - we don't have to write something long, like nonfiction books - (though if that's what you want to do - go for it).

We can show up here, or on a blog, or a substack.

We can share small pieces of our lives and our leadership.

And it DOES make a difference.

It DOES help someone else.

And it WILL help you. I've seen it happen many times - not just with clients but with friends and business owners I've harangued into posting here.
