Share Your Story: LinkedIn Post Prompts to Inspire Others

We are all so focused on what’s next for ourselves, we forget that our current roles are someone else’s goal – where you are ✨right now✨ is where someone else wants to be.

One way you can help others who want to be where you are - even internet strangers - is by sharing more of your story here.

It may seem scary or you may think it isn’t worth it, but I’ve seen LI enable real human connections and opportunities again and again.

So here are a few prompts for LinkedIn posts to help out that person who wants to be where you are.

Consider writing one a week and see who finds you, or who it resonates with in your current network!

1. What’s something in your role that everyone assumes is easy, but is secretly really hard?

➡️ Share a behind-the-scenes truth about the challenges of your position that might surprise people.

2. What’s a mistake you made early in this role that turned out to be a gift?

➡️ Reflect on how that mistake shaped your growth or helped you approach your work differently.

3. What’s the weirdest or most unexpected thing you’ve learned in your job?

➡️ Maybe it’s a quirky skill, a surprising fact about your industry, or a lesson that stuck with you in a strange way?

4. What’s a day in your life like?

➡️ Walk us through a “regular” work day for you - how do you spend your day? I find that information so helpful for people considering different roles or career trajectories.

Your perspective is unique—what’s one thing you can share today?
