Why Your LinkedIn Headline Needs a Job Title to Attract Recruiters

🎶 If you don't have a job title in your headline....🎶

🎶Recruiters will never, ever, ever find you, ooooh hoooooo 🎶

This isn't an exact science. Different recruiters search in different ways on LinkedIn.

But I've seen a lot of people recently without any sort of job title in their headline.

Using 'leader' or just keywords.

This is fine...IF you don't want to be found by recruiters for new roles.

If you DO want to be found, make it easier for them by listing your current job title, a past one, OR (yes) the one you're aiming for.

The headline is the heaviest weighted part of the profile in search, so it's important to get it right.

P.S. It's also great to use job titles in your About section, for the roles that you're applying to.

P.P.S. Of course I know the Simply Red version of this song better, but I'm trying to give credit where credit is due. If this isn't the original let me know!
