Rebuilding Confidence to Restore Your Inner Strength Amid Challenges

Everyone struggles with confidence. How can we rebuild it during tough times? Here's what has helped me and my clients:

1. Talking to a trusted friend, family member, colleague, coach, or therapist who knows you and your strengths. Someone who knows how to validate and reflect back what you're feeling. If you can do this for them as well, that's great. My intro calls for clients are often venting sessions and I am happy to listen.

2. Write down your hurdles and how you got past them. Whether personal or professional, seeing how you've overcome them in black and white can remind you that you're a resilient human being. Clients often say the intake for my services helps them process what's going on at work.

3. Taking time off. We all need time to regroup, connect with loved ones, and relax. Being present with the people in our life, letting go of ongoing frustrations (for a bit), and remembering that life is more than your career are all important.

What or who helps you when your confidence ebbs? I'd love to know.
