Why I'm Working Against False Urgency This Year
Do you have a goal or concept you're working towards this year? How's it going? This year I'm actively working against 🚫false urgency.🚫 What does that mean for me?
I'm prioritizing how I work and live best, which for me means not feeling rushed.
When I feel rushed, my anxiety bubbles up, and my priorities get out of whack.
When I don't feel rushed, I have the headspace to:
✔ Make better connections for clients - with potential companies, leaders, etc. This feels great.
✔Take a day away from a résumé or cover letter I've written and examine it with fresh eyes.
✔ Be a more present mom. The ultimate win.
How am I accomplishing this?
✅ Ruthless organization.
✅ Not taking too much on. That also means setting boundaries and holding them as needed.
✅ Not feeling guilty for 'me' time. Alone time fills my cup and that's the only way I can fill my family's cup.
And what does this look like?
➡ It looks like having sandwiches for dinner sometimes. Which surprisingly hurts no one.
➡ It looks like not scheduling same-day calls. Thanks Calendly.
➡ It looks like providing a depth of service to fewer clients.
What do you think about urgency or false urgency? How do you work against it, or does it not bother you? Are you working on anything this year? I'd love to know.
