Uncover the Standout Achievements on Your Résumé and LinkedIn Profile
Are you burying the lead on your résumé and LinkedIn profile?
➡ I've been working with a client who was selected to a program with a 1% acceptance rate. 1%. 🤯
Nowhere on her résumé was the fact that she was selected into such a highly competitive program.
Could you be missing something that helps you stand out from other applicants or secures interest from a recruiter on LinkedIn?
Here are 5 questions to ask yourself to help you unearth your unique strengths and accomplishments:
1. What prestigious programs, awards, or recognitions have I been a part of that showcase my expertise? (Awards from work count!)
2. Have I led or contributed to any high-impact projects that delivered significant results? (If you don't know, follow your projects to the end and ask colleagues for metrics, even for past projects.)
3. Are there any quantifiable metrics or success stories that highlight my achievements?
4. What challenges have I overcome that demonstrate my resilience and problem-solving skills?
5. Do I have any specialized skills or certifications that set me apart from others in my field?
Asking yourself these questions and taking the time to reflect really can make a difference in how you stand out both on your résumé and your LinkedIn profile.
And it's okay to trumpet your achievements here - this is the place. 🎺
This is also a great reason to work with someone on your résumé and profile. (Cough, cough.) They may be able to identify or unearth something you couldn't see, because you're just too close to it.
Don't let your standout achievements go unnoticed. And be sure to communicate those and your unique strengths here.
